Kiosk time clock in Hourvy, in short
Hourvy's kiosk mode turns any tablet into a shared time clock. Each worker taps their name and enters a 4 to 6 digit PIN to clock in, start or end a break, or clock out. The tablet can take a photo at every clock-in and clock-out, which owners can view on the Time Logs page. Photos are deleted after 90 days. A Kiosk only setting turns off phone clock-in completely.
Turn any tablet into a shared time clock with name, PIN and photo.
Use the tablet you already have
Any tablet with a web browser works. Pair it with a one-time code like ABCD-2345 and it's ready.
Photo proof, built in
Tick Take a photo and the camera snaps a picture at each clock-in and clock-out. Click "in photo" or "out photo" on Time Logs to see who was really there.
PINs that resist guessing
After 5 wrong PINs, that worker has to wait 5 minutes. If someone walks away halfway, the screen resets after 30 seconds.
Kiosk only, if you want it
Make every clock-in go through the kiosk. Workers can still check their hours, schedule and pay on their phone.
Works with roles and jobs
Workers pick their role or job right on the kiosk, so every shift is paid and costed correctly.
Lost tablet? One click.
Remove the kiosk in Settings and that tablet stops working straight away.
Up and running in three steps
- Tick Kiosk in Settings → Optional features, then Add kiosk to get a pairing code.
- On the tablet, open the kiosk page, type the code and tap Set up kiosk.
- Give each worker a Kiosk PIN in their profile. Only workers with a PIN appear on the kiosk.
Optional features are off until you switch them on, and are included in the price either way.
Good to know
- Lock the tablet to one app with Guided Access (iPad) or Screen pinning (Android) so the kiosk stays open.
- Clock-in photos are kept for 90 days, then deleted automatically.
- If the camera isn't available, workers can still clock in without a photo.
